“In June 2012, my husband and I bought a condo at The Shores on Coronado. It was our intention to do some light remodeling to the place and we would be good to go. However, once we realized that the floors were pulling up and the HVAC was the original and the pipes were from 1979, we decided that the best thing to do was to gut the entire place and start from scratch. “After interviewing three builders, I contracted with Nicolls Design Build to conduct a major renovation of our home in the Coronado Cays in San Diego to include a complete new floor plan to (removing walls, raising ceilings, new HVAC, plumbing, electrical) redesigned/enlarged kitchen, bedrooms, new laundry room and baths.
We picked Nicolls Design Build for three reasons, first his outstanding reputation, second the quality of his work, and third his wife co-owns Bungalow 56, an interior design/decorating firm that handled all design work for our new floor plan as well as procurement of all fixtures (electrical and plumbing) and appliances.
We are thrilled with the performance of Nicolls Design Build and Bungalow 56 team.

Kraig Nicolls was a joy to work with. He has a great eye for design and recommended updating the fireplace, adding lighting, and replacing bedroom carpet with hardwood flooring. The new look is fabulous - the soffit lighting is wonderful, the fireplace wall design is outstanding with a new, low/long fireplace and a floating granite mantel - and he even created space on the side wall for all of the electronic components along with bookshelves; and the walnut hardwood is warm and beautiful.
